It may seem like a normal city, but it's home to a generation of youth that loves nothing more than to rock out, party, and have a good time. The music scene is huge among the young adults and new bands are springing up all the time, hoping to become the next rock and roll icon. Will they land a record deal and make it big, or jut fade away with time?
The layout and graphics were created by Jules, as was the plot. All characters and content belong to their respective owners, so don't steal anything or claim it as your own, because that bitch named karma will be paying you a visit.
ever being sitting on the steps of the met below the queen of the prep school scene and find yourself thinking something along the lines of “god, why can’t that be me?”? well, this is new york city, and god won’t be able to save you from the mistake of last season’s louis vuitton bag. of course, you’ve got your upper east side with those perfectly polished and shiny girls (and for future reference, they don’t appreciate you touching them to see if their hair is as soft as it looks). as there always will be, you’ve got your kids who are lower on the totem pole residing in brooklyn, the lower east side, and maybe even that random scholarship holder from queens. oh, but you’re not in high school anymore you say? what ever made you think that just because you’ve graduated you aren’t still being tormented? we all know that life is one big popularity contest, so you might as well get used to it and fix the competition. after all, no one likes to follow a no one. so welcome to new york city, doll, where everything is never as it seems.

DARE Talent, lead guitarist of the band All Systems Are Go! was currently at Rushmore's. He wasn't exactly 'enjoying' it as he wasn't even complete aware of what was happening. This was partly due to the fact that he had already had a couple drinks before hand. Anyways the bands were just coming on and all Dare seemed to remember was how he had played here. Maybe he was getting too sentimental. As always another memory flooded his head as he remembered a fight that had happened a while ago. Yeah Rushmore's was a great place. Even if Dare wasn't doing anything more then sitting on a random lawn chair he had found. Though why it was down here was beyond him.
In fact Dare was anxious to see tonight's line up. Feeling slightly jealous as he stared at the stage. Every time he saw a guitar anymore it made him wish he had his. Dare let out a puff of air as he grabbed a pen from his pocket and started to doodle on his hand. Everyone that knew Dare and even those obsessed stalkers knew that Dare liked to doodle.
Dare seemed the artsy type. With dark-ish hair(due to his hair was entirely dark all the time) and chocolate brown hair he was always ready with a comment about how 'great looking' he was. Most nodded and ignored him, it was old news by now. 'But of course it's old news because they're all just jealous how devilishly handsome I am' Dare thought to himself while scribbling away at his hand.
Abruptly he heard clapping and the lights dimmed which grabbed Dare's attention as he couldn't exactly see his hand anymore. Maybe it was time to get his eyes checked...Nevertheless the stage now had his gaze. Four people in a band clomped into view. Each one of them looked about as nervous that the audience would turn into a dinosaur and eat them, but that didn't stop the singer, who was holding a bass, to announce the band name. The place was dead quiet as everyone waited to hear some very good or very bad music.
Of course this was all starting to bore Dare. Sitting in a lawn chair away from the music and everything seemed very un-Dare like. So he got up, stretched his 'tall' 5'9'' frame and walked over to the front of the place where the band was playing. It was pretty easy as no music has started yet and the audience was standing there in a dead sort of daze. Dare mentally told himself that this must be the band's first gig.
Finally, just as Dare stared up at the singer with a death glare of 'start the fucking gig already', the band started off at the same time and sounded like a proper band. The band went on displaying sounds that Dare had never actually heard from a band and singing lyrics like, 'Don't disappear on me. Not like a vanishing rabbit in a top hat. Tell me you wouldn't vanish just like that.' The words were interesting to say the least. However the band seemed very jumpy and at the slightest sound they would scamper into a darker part of the stage. That was Dare's favorite part...scaring the jumpy band members, that now he was close up looked like freshmen in highschool.
After performing another strange lyric song titled 'Caffeine High' the singer said the whole 'thanks for having us tonight. You were a great audience. Blah blah blah.' Dare was completely bored. All the fun drained out of him as the band departed. He went back to where the lawn chair was supposed to be but found it full with a rather large man. Ignoring that he went to another corner of the basement while the next band got ready.
There, he pulled out his old piece of shit phone and proceeded to text his band members and a couple of other people he knew. After all maybe somehow they could take over the stage that night. He didn't know how. As it seemed more of a bored pondering then anything but maybe...

A performing arts school owned and operated by Nathan Conners. MSA operates mainly by donations and from performances put on by the students themselves. ”bells, i think you need to clean your room.”
”aw, dad. i just cleaned it the other day.”
”no, you didn’t bella. you shoved everything under your bed so you could run and see jake.”
”well he is my boyfriend.”
”well, yes. but that doesn’t mean you haven’t been slacking. just clean it now and get it over with?”
bella trudged up to her room, why did charlie have to be right? oh yeah, because he was her father, and she lived under his roof. well, at the moment she did anyways. she wondered when she and jake were go ing to tell charlie and billy that they were planning on moving into an apartment together. they had been dating for almost a year now, and things were pretty serious. bella’s brown eyes glanced around the roo m as she made her way in, her bed was disheveled, and things were jammed both in her closet, and und er her bed. letting out a small sigh, she made her way to the closet to begin a full day’s work. pulling out a small shoebox, she found a folded up piece of paper; opening it slowly, she looked at the seven digits. p ursing her lips, she wondered why they looked so familiar. she just couldn’t place on who they belonged to. she had everyone’s number in her phone, so why had she kept this number on paper and not in her c ontact list? pulling out her cell phone, bella slowly punched the keys until she heard a ringing tone.
”bella?” his silky, velvet voice was instantly recognizable.
”oh shit.” bella muttered under her breath.
”bella are you there?” her heart slowly started to pull itself apart again. ”bella. i can hear you breathing you know. bella, talk to me. please?”
”hi.”
”is that all i get from you? a ‘hi’? i'm quite hurt bella swan. i thought there would clearly be more.”
it was just those few words to make her temper fly. ”more? ha. you’re lucky to get that much edward cullen.” her voice seeped with poison through the phone.
she heard a small sigh escape from his lips. from those beautiful marble lips. ”i have to go. we’ll talk about this soon, okay?”
”wait. what the hell are you talking about edward? what do you mean soon”
”we’re coming back. vancover doesn’t agree with us like forks did. but really now, i have to go. i’ll see you soon, okay?”
bella struggled for the words to say. somethings just never changed. ”edward – i but, we –“
”i love you my bella. remember that.” the phone disconnected.
”it will be as if i never existed”, and it was. everything of his, anything that she owned that mentioned him seemed to disappear that very night. nearly four months of darkness, bella can finally see the light. and who’s there to catch her now? jacob black, the one who’s been waiting on the sideline for her the entire time. and now she’s his. and that’s all you need to know. bella swan and jacob black soon became a cou ple, despite the small age difference, and everyone lived happily ever after. right? wrong. that short little phone call says it all, don’t you think? well, of course it does. not just edward, but all of the cullen’s had became nothing but a memory. the aching hole in her heart became nothing more than a dim pain, only when she had a nightmare of some sadistic guy named james hitting her and throwing her around. but she never could place it before now. the crescent shaped scar, seemed more prominent as of late, as she slowly began to put the pieces together. he was coming back. they all were coming back, and that scared bella. she was happy with her jacob. and he was happy with her, so happy, in fact, that he was able to im print on her. his imprinting made both of them extremely satisfied.
but bella couldn’t help but wonder why the cullen’s were coming back. apparently they hadn’t gone far, but still, it annoyed bella that edward knew it was her instantly. did he ever erase her number from his phone? no, apparently not. but you see, the cullen’s aren’t the only ones coming to forks. several noma dic covens are making their own way through forks. each one of them finding the idea of staying in forks more and more suitable. they don’t understand that forks is cullen territory. that they have a reputation to protect, and to hide. they don’t understand that when they decide to have a small hunting party on th e locals of forks, port angeles, and other small areas including la push itself. and of course you all know, with the rise in vampire activity in the area, means more and more teenagers, male and female, finding out their true heritage over in la push. some of these ‘newborn werewolves’ are easy to please, understa nding quickly of the pack ways, while others are just blood thirsty and wanting to start all out war with the vampire covens. it’s all out war between the two. it was bound to happen, of course.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Metal is the new black! Yes that's right, metal is coming back. This roleplay takes place in California, generally around Los Angeles. It is based on a competition of many metal/hard rock bands coming back in style and rising in fame to be the new Black Sabbath and Metallica. They are all competing to be named "Top New Artist." The bands styles range from things similar to that of Evanescence and Lacuna Coil to something similar to Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed with everything inbetween.
The website is short application, and each post must be atleast 150 words. There are also plenty of bands to choose from, each with a genre ranging from Metal to Soft Rock and Rap Metal to Pop.
Anyone who lives here could tell you that Laurelwood is a lovely place. A small sprawling city consisting of mostly suburbs. The city was established in 1900 on the coast and thrived on the fishing and trapping industry, turning it into a larger coastal city.
However, the thing people don’t know about the city is that some of the people that helped establish the city weren’t exactly human…Immigrants from all over helped in the founding of the city and some of those happened to be a part of the supernatural community coming over to the Americas to look for freedom from prosecution and death. In the new country no one really believed in the old tales, they felt safe and for many years the lycans, shapeshifters, and vampires lived together in as close to harmony as natural enemies can.
A few hybrids were spawned, abominations that threatened the safety and secrecy of the community. A pact was made that if hybrids were born, they were to be immediately killed and anyone found harboring one was to be destroyed.
Over the years everyone lived together fine for a long time, maintaining the secrecy of the community and the ignorance of the humans. Unfortunately within the last decade tensions have been rising between the groups, a few vagrants have taken to consuming and turning humans who with untrained abilities run rampant through the city wreaking havoc. The elder ones are trying to get together and prevent this from happening but they’re not the only ones…A select few humans who know how to destroy supernatural kind have heard of the attacks and begun to migrate to Laurelwood.
Alexxis, whenever someone told them about their lives and she found it horrible; she always ended up feeling slightly guilty about it for some reason; which usually resulted in her wincing a little. It was a natural reaction for her and some people found it weird, whilst others always ended up telling her that it wasn't her fault - therefore she should not feel guilty about it. Neither should she say that she's sorry for the life said person had. But she still couldn't help herself.
Nahh, it's okay. Don't worry about it. It's been years of this crap, and I'm over it by now.
The brunette nodded in response to that and brushed her hair behind her ear, tilting her head backwards so that it didn't fail; like the last time. A smile crossed her features for a brief moment. "Well, as long as you're over it." She mumbled quietly, not wanting to go further into it, because she knew that he obviously didn't want to talk anymore on the subject, which was definitely fine by her. She wouldn't want to talk anymore about her home life, at this point either.
The sound of his laughter filled her ears, causing her to smile slightly more than she had been earlier. It probably sounded strange, but Alexxis found the guy terribly attractive; though she'd only been with him for two hours, or less, at the most. She felt like she knew him - er, well; they had just been sharing their life stories, so that was a given, really. But.. well, she didn't know how to explain it, his laugh just made her want to laugh more and she was really beginning to dread the end of the night. Which would mean that the two of them would end up parting ways.
After telling Tj that she thought he'd make a cute hermit, Alexxis had to hide her face in her hair. It wasn't often that she told a person they were cute, or would make a cute something or another, so this was pretty new, meaning that she had embarassed herself. Already she could feel her cheeks beginning to flush - blood rushing to her cheeks, effectively making her blush. A site that she'd rather Tj didn't see.
I.. like you too, Alexxis.
Those words from Tj made her blush more; her heart beat raced and banged against her chest, thumping so hard against her rib cage she was sure that he'd be able to see it through her shirt. Not daring to look up at him, she kept her head down, hands in her hair; keeping it in front of her face.
