ENTERING FAIRVIEW
It may seem like a normal city, but it's home to a generation of youth that loves nothing more than to rock out, party, and have a good time. The music scene is huge among the young adults and new bands are springing up all the time, hoping to become the next rock and roll icon. Will they land a record deal and make it big, or jut fade away with time?

There comes a time in every man's life when he needs to step away from his best friend of ten years and get a few more friends. That is what Tak was trying to do. He settled into a seat and watched people go by. He smiled at them on occasion, but didn't really seem to move forward. He was.. nervous to say the least. Amber usually did all the socializing for him and he could pipe in anytime he wanted to, but.. he had to get out of that habit. He loved his rock goddess and owner of his ass to death, but one friend is pretty pathetic.
At least in Tak's mind it was.
So Tak decided to head down to the local coffee shop, funny considering he spent most of his days with coffee, and try to meet people. He wouldn't dare go to a club without Amber. He felt that could be considered treason though she went without him on occasion. That was different though. He wasn't as much of a party animal as she was. She hung with different crowds when she was around Tak and when she wasn't. He never quite approved of her other circles, but who was he to tell her that? He was just her best friend, not a lover or something.
Tak shook his head. He had to stop thinking about Amber. This was not an Amber adventure. This was a Tak adventure. He sighed and took a sip of his coffee. He frowned at it and shook his head. Too much flavoring. He set it aside and sighed. Sometimes he wished he wasn't so much of a coffee snob, but that's the burden to bear when you were a barista.

EVERYBODY SEES ME but it's not that easy STANDING IN THE LIGHT FIELD waiting for some action
------------------------------
After yet another long and drunken night of partying, Gray Michaels found herself in need of a little pick me up. Like most nights, she drank way too much and woke up in the morning with a hell of a headache, feeling like utter shit. The headache had subsided, but she still felt as though she'd been hit maybe not by a truck, but at least an SUV. That's why she decided to head to the Java Hut for coffee to hopefully up her spirits.
After a shower which proved to be ineffective in curing her hangover, she threw on a pair of dark jeans and a Mötley Crüe tee, then darted out the door. She arrived at the Java Hit a few minutes later, parking her car on the side of the road and heading inside. Coffee from the Java Hut always made her feel a lot better. It worked in the same way as alcohol for her, except alcohol had landed her in her current position, so she settled for coffee.
Saint gave the door a strong push and it flew open in one, fluid motion, permitting her entry. She strutted with purpose; with a signature confidence that had become second-nature. She headed straight to the counter, leaning against it and drumming her fingers on the surface. It didn't take long before someone arrived to take her order.
"Yeah, I'll take the strongest coffee you've got in the tallest cup you've got," she said.
As she waited for her coffee, she leaned back against the counter and scanned the café, taking note of the people in it. She didn't see anybody she really knew; a few faces looked familiar, Java Hut regulars, although she never really spoke to any of them. There was an Asian boy maybe a little older than her sitting at a table. She lowered her sunglasses slightly, raking her eyes over him, analyzing and attempting to interpret. She wasn't sure what to think of him, but before she could give him another thought, a guy at the counter tapped on her shoulder. She whipped around and was met by an extra-large cup of strong-ass coffee. She offered the guy a quick smile and a wink, accepting her coffee.

Friends, Jazz, friends. Just strike up a conversation with someone, then you've got a contact. But don't let it be a guy, you ask for his number so you can do something again you look gay...REAL gay. A girl, that way if you do seem like you're coming onto her, it won't seem like you're lookin' for a fella. If you ask a guy out, no girl will EVER make a move on you. Okay, here we go.
Jazz's mind went out of its way to make sure he came across how he was and not as someone else, because he never had the heart to tell a potential friend they were wrong. He also didn't want to come across as a crazy person, or needy, but that was kind of hard when you were approaching a complete stranger in a coffee shop. He knew absolutely no one in this town, so he couldn't even do the whole mutual friend manoeuvre that most people used to avoid seeming crazy. Oh well, he could do nothing but get on with it.
Jazz pushed open the door and walked through, ruffling his own long hair as he did when he was nervous. He looked around quickly and then saw someone. Helloooo.... A pretty girl stood at the counter holding a cup of coffee. He grinned to himself as he walked over to the counter, first pretending to not notice her and went straight to the guy in the little Java Hut uniform. Hey, could I get one of....those. He said pointing back to a man with a large cappuccino. "Cappuccino?" Jazz looked back, an empty smile falling from his face. Yeah, that's right. He told the man before turning back to the girl.
Eh, how's it goin'? My name's Jack, friends call me Jazz. I just moved here from Ireland, so I don't really know anyone, so this'll seem weird. Wanna be mates? He said with a typical Irish grin.

Tj walked into the Java Hut wearing a pair of baggy blue jeans, and a black bandanna-print shirt. He'd never been there before, but he'd heard around that it was a pretty cool place and that a lot of people hung out there. He was hoping to meet some people, since he still didn't know anyone since he'd only moved in a few weeks ago. He was getting lonely just hanging around his house trying to organize his room. He walked up to the counter, and pretty quickly, someone showed up to take his order. "Green tea latte, please." He looked around, trying to see someone he could attempt to start up a conversation with. He saw a guy talking to a rather pretty girl, and decided not to intrude on their conversation. He chuckled, wondering how long the guy would try to flirt, and if the girl would let him or not. He took his drink and paid, taking a sip. Perfect... He saw an asian boy, a little older than him, sitting alone, and wondered if he wanted to be alone or if he should approach him, and introduce himself. He figured it couldn't hurt, and if he didn't like him, well, they wouldn't have to talk again, would they? It'd be easy. He'd done this a million times in his old town, how was this any different. Tj took a sip of his drink, letting the warmth work its way through him. It was definitely way better than Starbucks. He walked over to the boy, smiling. "Hey, I'm Tj. I'm new to town, and don't really know anyone yet, so I figured I'd say hey. he said, a little nervously, but refusing to allow himself to be so shy that he couldn't even make one friend in this town.

She continued to sip her coffee, leaning back against the counter. Usually, she liked to hang around to give the employees a hard time. The boy who was serving seemed like he would be an easy target, however, he was currently taking care of other people and she wasn't rude enough to stall their orders.
She noticed a boy walk up to the counter, one she'd never seen before. There were a lot of people she'd never seen before, but this particularly guy seemed strangely... out of place. She wondered what it was. He ordered a cappuccino and Saint continued to stare at him, through her shades. That was, until he turned around to address her with a grin.
"Eh, how's it goin'? My name's Jack, friends call me Jazz."
He certainly wasn't a shy one. Most people wouldn't try to strike up a conversation like this while waiting for coffee, but she had to appreciate the effort he was making.
"I just moved here from Ireland, so I don't really know anyone, so this'll seem weird.
Ah. That was why he seemed out of place. So, he was a newbie to Fairview. That was... interesting. She loved meeting people from far away places. Saint was obsessed with the world and all of its wonders, so she loved hearing stories about all of the places outside of her box.
"Wanna be mates?"
Saint smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. She held her cup loosely in one hand. "Mates, huh? Why not. I could always use another mate."
He seemed nice enough, and interesting enough, at least more so than half the boring people who lived in this goddamn city. She was all for being mates.
As she continued to talk with the stranger who'd introduced himself as Jazz, another guy walked up to place his order. He'd asked for a green tea latte, and again, he was another unfamiliar face. What was with all the strangers today? After he got his drink, he headed toward the Asian boy she'd spotted earlier, presumably to stir up a conversation.
"I'm Saint," she introduced herself, taking a sip of her coffee.
