and celebrate the irony EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG but we're so happy No, don't be sorry. It's not your fault. I'm just glad you're okay.
Leaf knew that there was no real point in argueing about whose fault it was, since both were too damn stubborn for their own good and would insist and insist and insist that it was each other's fault until the cows fly over the moon and Farmaggedon strikes everyone down with Mad Cow Disease.
But what she also knew was that Saint wouldn't stop feeling guilty about the whole incident, and that, therefore, warranted an excuse for several hours of non-stop movies and unhealthy junk food for said movie-marathon. She needed to get her best friends mind out of a guilt trip somehow.
"It's an old fire escape, it could have happened to anyone." Despite having wanted to move away from that subject, Leaf couldn't help but say those words in a gentle tone. Not realising she'd said them until a few seconds after.
"But nevermind, yeah. Let's go have us junk food and horror movie marathons."
Ugh, horror movies. She hated them. Wouldn't watch them alone, but would watch whatever Saint wanted to watch. As long as the two of them were together, she was happy.
"If you don't come, I will be forced to frisk you in the middle of the street." She joked, slipping out of the hug and sliding her hand into Saint's, giving it a little squeeze of reassurance. "And don't think for a second that I won't do it, because you know I would." That was true, she'd done a few times before, with hilarious results. Mostly on unsuspecting tourists.

CAUSE WE ALL JUST WANNA BE BIG ROCKSTARS and live in hilltop houses, drivin' fifteen cars THE GIRLS COME EASY AND THE DRUGS COME CHEAPwe'll all stay skinny cause we just won't eat ------------------------------ "It's an old fire escape, it could have happened to anyone."
"But it didn't happen to anyone," Saint thought silently. "It happened to you... because of me."
She didn't dare voice her thoughts, because she knew it would worry Leaf, and it was cause her to try and take the blame herself. They knew each other too well, so arguing was just plain futile.
"But nevermind, yeah. Let's go have us junk food and horror movie marathons."
She appreciated her friend's effort to take her mind off of the incident. Maybe a movie marathon and junk food would be a good idea. Of course, the singer wouldn't let this go that easily, but at least they could pretend like everything was okay for a little while.
"You and horror movies? Come on, Leaf. I know you better than that," Saint replied, a small smile finding its way upon her face, despite everything. "Whatever you wanna watch is fine with me. I don't care."
It was about hanging out and bonding, not about what they were doing. She could care less, as long as Leaf was with her and they were having fun. Then again, it was that same line of thinking that had nearly gotten her younger friend killed...
"If you don't come, I will be forced to frisk you in the middle of the street. And don't think for a second that I won't do it, because you know I would."
A small laugh escaped her lips. While she wouldn't forget, she was feeling a little better. At the very least, she was distracted from all of the shit that had unfolded.
"That's okay, babe. No need to frisk. I'll come willingly."

and celebrate the irony EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG but we're so happy A movie marathon topped with junk food sounded like a mighty fine idea to the taller female, but she regretted ever mentioning about horror movies because they didn't go well with the eighteen year old. The last time they'd watched a horror movie together, Leaf had ended up hiding behind the couch and refusing to come out unless the film had finished. This little memory caused her to smile very faintly as they walked round the path to enter the building properly.
You and horror movies? Come on, Leaf. I know you better than that. What ever you want to watch is fine with me.
Leaf pursed her lips together and looked up at the stars. "Yeah, I know, but I promise I won't hide behind the couch this time!" She joked with a small laugh. She didn't mind watching them with someone... actually, she didn't like watching them full stop but that hadn't ever stopped her from buying a couple for... recreational purposes?
There was a frisking threat followed by a laugh from Saint.
That's okay, babe. No need to frisk. I'll come willingly.
And then a mocking pout from Leaf as they neared the front door to all apartments. At the door, the younger of the two friends pulled it open and held it in that position so that she could allow her older friend go through before herself. It was something to do with common courtesy, maybe.
"Oh, oh, oh. We won't have another popcorn incident, will we?" She asked. Well, actually she always asked that when they were having a movie marathon night. "Because I know microwaves are really useful for cooking stuff; but I'm sure that the workers in the mall think I'm some kind of a jinx when it comes to buying microwaves." Having blown up several in three months was a record.
