BAND HISTORY: The whole operation started in Jersey when Jake met singer David. They had a bassist, guitarist, and vocals, so it was just a matter of getting a drummer, but after posting flyers, they got way more than that. It turned out for the better, as they soon became one of the biggest bands locally. Tired of the label of a 'high-school' band, they all relocated to Fairview to play, goto school, and be discovered.

APPEARANCE: Jake's an athletically built guy, but he doesn't have any dreams of being the attention whoring ripped guy on the beach. Through High School he'd played football, and the time spent in the weight room gave him a sturdy appearance, but as said before, he's got so illusions of the fact that he's still on the skinny side of things.
He's always had blue eyes like he does. They didn't quite have the contrast they do now when he was younger, and sometimes they lose it again in the summer, but for the most part they stay that slightly-darker-than-light-blue kinda blue.
His hair was blonde and curly as a toddler, but that soon straightened out as he got older, turning brown and straightening out. He let to grow a bit when he was in middle school, but started keeping it short because it would get in his face when he played football, and that was nothing he felt like dealing with on a daily occurance.
He'd always, unfortunately, had acne problems. He'd even gotten a prescription for a dermitologist, which helps, but it never went away fully.
STYLE: The shirt you see in the picture at the top of this page is his absolute favorite shirt. He likes the dark, of-kilter colors, which are really hard to find dress shirts in. He takes the normall suit and tie dress shirts, unbuttons the top few, and rolls up the sleeve and wears it around. They usually end of being pretty wrinkled at the end of the day, but he doesn't care.
Blue jeans. Where would he be without his Lee Dungarees? Probably face down in a gutter somewhere trying to scrape by for pennies to by crack or something. Jake couldn't live without his pair of 'can't bust em's.
Footwear? Jake's got a tendency to not want to buy old shoes. It's an odd relationship. He hates the shoes when he first gets them, because he misses the old ones, but as soon as they become worn out, they wouldn't trade them for the world. He's had the same pair of tennis shoes for about 2 years now.

SECRET: Jake has a very tough time making decisions. He thinks he likes an idea, but can never really commit to one or the other, and changes his mind a lot.

PERSONALITY:
Jake absolutely hates unneccessary tension. He's a very layed back person, who enjoys being a friend to everyone. He will give everyone thier fair chance upon meeting them, and usually extends the same hospitality he would to a new friend that he would to a lifetime buddy.
That being said, if you piss him off, he usually takes offense and finds it a bit hard to forget. His heart overpowers his head more often than not, and he'll completely disregard everything he doesn't want to hear if he doesn't want to. More often than not, if he doesn't like you, you did something to him, or you've got a certain trait he can't stand. Jake trys very hard to be fair, but everyone's human.
One of the biggest things that makes Jake who is is his interests. How many other 19 year olds would rather watch Fox News or CNN than the new episode of Jackass? He loves discussions, and he loves politics. He's very encouraging of hearing your side of the story, and even more ecstatic to share his. This often leads to arguments, but rarely leads to fights.
Jake also has a very odd taste in music from his friends. Yeah, he plays bass in a screamo band, and he loves every minute of it. But when looking through his iPod you'll find nothing but old blues and funk bands from the seventies. He loves it, and he uses a lot of those ideas in his playing to add a groove to the bands' sound.

RELATIONSHIP HISTORY: Jake's had a couple serious girlfriends, or as serious as they could get in highschool. One of them lasted for 17months, but he broke up with her after he was cheated on. It was a very odd experience, and most people would have troubles with trust afterwards, but Jake didn't take it quite like most guys would. It was a learning experience, he guessed, and it taught him what he wanted in a relationship.
Right now Jake's got a girlfriend, Kristin, who's he's been with for almost 2 years. She's back in his hometown going to college there, but they're not that far apart, and hopefully can make things last. They've been through worse, and still have an undeniable love for one another.

FATHER: David, 52. Works for the Army. He's really not home a lot due to his job, either.

HISTORY:
Jake was the firstborn in his family, coming to life in a military hospital on Ft. Wainright, Alaska. His father was in the active military at the time, and due to it, the family did a lot of moving dependant on where the job was. His little sister was born shortly after. They lived in the arctic ring for only a little while before having to relocate.
The family moved to Wisconsin originally, to settle down. Carol and David didn't want to have to make thier kids move around constantly trying to make friends. They both found jobs in line with thier old ones, and put Jake into Kindergarten.
All through elementary school Jake passed with exceptional grades. He was in the accelerated classes, and did well in those. The only problem was that he was quite the little tyrant. He often spent his recesses in detention doing all his homework so that he didn't have to when he got home. It was almost a scam after a while. Hurt a kid at the end of the first recess so he'd have the other one to finish his work so he could play afterschool.
He settled down in Middle School, getting into sports, so he couldn't keep up this mischief. He did track and football, spending his time afterschool doing his homework and enjoying his hobbies. This is probably where Jake learned to love his alone time. Normally he'd spend all his time afterschool with friends, but now that he didn't get home until after dinner some nights, he learned to pick up hobbies and better himself int he areas he wanted to.
Jake actually started playing guitar during this time. He learned along to a lot of Nirvana albums, and from listening to all his favorite bands at the time. He picked up a girlfriend at this time, whom he dated for quite a while. Near the end of the relationship, Jake found out that she'd cheated on him twice at a party, and immediately broke all ties. Rather than becoming bitter, Jake grew from the experience, and realized what was really important in a relationship... Trust.
Jake's family moved to New Jersey shortly after, forcing Jake to begin highschool in a brand new city. Jake quickly made friends, though, finding himself in with the musical community. Lots of bands were starting up because of highschool, and because of the need, Jake took up bass. He quickly became skilled at the instrument, and offered positions in just about every local highschool band in the area. He founded his own, though, with friend David, who'd go on to form the Nihilist Society. During this time, Jake also met his current girlfriend, Kristin. It was a fast paced and highly passionate romance that's still going on to this day. Almost two years later, they're still together, despite Jake's decision to move with the band to Fairview to try and hit the bigtime. They're only a 2 hour drive away, though, so things should work out. It's still tough at times to be away so often, but they've been through worse.
Jake is now going for a Major to work as a Studio Recording Engineer so he can Produce Records.
