you know I'm so hot
APPEARANCE: Rachael is quite a small girl in every sense. Not only does she stand in at a measley four foot and eleven inches, weigh in at around eighty pounds, and have no development in her "womanly areas", but she isn't very noticable in a crowd. She blends in because of her simple features. She has slightly olive skin which comes from her slightly latino mother whom she never met. She has a sweet little rounded face. Her features are quite soft. Her smoldering brown eyes are usually rimmed with smokey eyeliner or her glasses. Underneath is her perfectly straight but slightly flat nose and under that lies her thin pale lips. Her hair long brown hair falls perfectly around her face. It is usually curly but ocassionally she will straighten it or pull it back into a messy ponytail so it's easier for her to take photos.
STYLE: She is all about layers. She wears things like dresses with jeans and skirts with leggings. If she can't be bothered she'll be wearing some kind of band t-shirt, slogan t-shirt or just something really random with some jeans. Over the top she'll wear hoodies, cardigans or hoodies. On her feet will always be odd socks and either Converse of Doc. Matens. She doesn't really care for being fashionable, this is just the way she always was. There are two other things that are her trademark; her Nikon camera and her laptop by the name of Emmanuel.
MARKINGS: The other things that are noticable are the tattoos on her wrist "FAITH" on her right and "SPIRIT" on her left. Along with that she still has scars up her arms from her self harming days. Also the random Bible passages and words she will write on her arms.
PIERCINGS: Her two ears are pierced once each.[/color]

quite the charmer
PERSONALITY: When you are an outsider and you hardly know Rachael, you wouldn't want to become her friend from what you see. She's quite a closed person. She's put up this brick wall around herself because she doesn't want to let people in just to get hurt. She isn't horrible to strangers, but doesn't realy make an effort to talk to them. If you start talking to her, she will be very polite and start talking to you back. The only thing is you won't become her a real friend until she is completely sure that you won't screw her over. Then she'll let you in to the world of Rachael, one that is quite complicated and sad but with a happy ending.
Once you've peeled away that armour, there is an extremely sweet little girl. She's just a little girl in this big, big world, not just literally as well. She's amazed by the littlest of things. One to find entertainment with a stick and a pen. Sometimes she a little mad and a little childish with her friends, but that's the magic that is Rachael. The only problem is, she is more of one of the lads than a gal pal. She prefers to hang out with guys because there isn't that bitchy atmosphere, that and the fact that she doesn't seem to be on the same wave length as most girls. She doesn't know what it is about her, but she can't get along with girls.
There's two different sides of her. She can be quite loud and bouncing around just being mad. She'll become all rebelious and crazy, not caring what people think of her one little bit. She doesn't care for what you say to her because she'll laugh in your face and carry on being mad. She is usually extremely hyper and bouncing off the walls, enjoys her fun times that she is having, laughing and joking. She will always be up for anything when in this mood and doesn't care if she makes a total fool of herself because she feels that every one is a fool in this world. She only does this as something to throw strangers off the scent of her insecurities and slight depression. The one thing she won't do is get drunk because she knows what it does to people.
The other side of her is when she is being really quiet. When like this she will mainly sit in a corner and just write. This is when she is at her most creativeness. She can write and draw at this time, able to just let her emotions flow and enjoy her life. She doesn't usually talk to people in this time, but if she does, it's quiet and most people will mistake her for being sad and leave her alone. Usually, this is the best time to talk to her because she is ready to open up and smile or cry on your shoulder. She would also be ready to listen to your problems and be a shoulder to cry on herself.
Opinions are one thing that she doesn't lack. You want an opinion on anything and everything, Rachael is the person to ask. She is an extremely opinionated person who won't let anyone walk all over her. She doesn't mind debating over it and maybe she will be swayed slightly, but if you tell her she's wrong, she will because very defensive of her beliefs and shoot you down where you stand. This is mainly because of her stubborn behaviour, she hates to be told what to believe or what to be done, even if it's something she should do. The only people she will let her advise her doing things are her really good friends.
She's a techinical wizard. She's the photographer, blogger, website designer and online advertiser. She'll always be seen in McDonald's or Starbucks, abusing the free Wi-Fi and making sure she is always updated online. She's extremely intelligent when it comes to these sort of things and is the main reason she is doing these things for her friends. She's not only good at these things, but she knows so much about them and is completely amazing. If she wasn't with this band she'd be either a hacker or working for Microsoft as Bill Gates' right hand woman.
She's also extremely creative. She is very artsy and when she's not taking her extremely awesome photos, she's drawing her life away. Not only drawing, but painting, sculpting, grafitting, anything that she can do with her hands is basically art work to this girl. Obviously, she loves to create digital artwork as well. She is mainly proud of her sketches and real drawings because a lot of them get used by the band on their website, in their programmes and even in the booklets on their CDs.
One of her sad flaws is that she is very secretive and lies quite a lot. This isn't because she wants to make herself sound cooler and what not, she just doesn't like to share her past so she tells people it was just average. She never lies to her friends, they're the ones she shares every little emotion with. She is also secretive when it comes to her song writing abilities and art. She hates to share that kind of things with people because she's quite modest and hates to be told she amazing (unless hyped up on Dr. Pepper then she doesn't really care). She just can't tell people about her talent because one, it brings up painful memories and two, she doesn't really like attention.
Religion is the one thing that saved her life. She found religion at the age of twenty and it has been a big part of her life ever since. When she thinks about going back on the bottle, she turns to God for strength. She feels that He will protect her whatever she chooses to do with her life and will let her make her own mistakes so she can learn. She doesn't believe in devine entervention or anything like that, but she believes that no matter how bad her life gets, there is always God to turn to. She doesn't push God on anyone but if she is worried about someone, she will pray for them.
The one side of Rachael that no one wants to see is her slightly violent streak. She isn't one to be violent for no reason of course, you had to have pissed her off first. Once you've pissed her off, there's no going back, she won't forgive you unless you give her a damn good reason. Then when she is violent, she is liable to rip your arm up, stuff it up your...ahem, anyways. After a violent streak, she'll become quite shakey and need quite a long time to calm down, but once calm, she'd back to the same ol' lovable Rachael.

RELATIONSHIP HISTORY: Rachael, considering her age, has strangely enough never had a boyfriend, never been in love, but she is still awaiting the day she finally falls in love and knows she will love every moment of it.
legend in the making
MOTHER: Her biological mother, she never knew as she died in child birth. But her adoptive mother, she loved very much, but she is dead now.
FATHER: Rachael didn't know her biological father really, because he died when she was at least four years old, she loved him though out all that time. Her adoptive father, she loved as much as he adoptive mother, but he is sadly dead too.
SIBLINGS: Rachael never had any siblings, but she did have an adoptive sister named Layla who she loved dearly with all her heart, but she is sadly dead too.
HISTORY: In the six months leading up to Rachael's birth, everything was very stressed. Her mother and father hated each other and every moment was an arguement. Rachael's mother went into early birth to give birth to a very small child and then sadly die herself. Her father, Sean was left alone with this tiny miracle and no idea how to raise her what-so-ever. He wanted to hold on to that child no matter what he did. For now, it meant living in a tiny box room, hardly feeding her and teaching her to shut up with a harsh slap. Rachael obviously wasn't going to get through this without being seriously hurt. That's when it happened. A dark rainy evening, her birthday to be precise and she was in Sean's arms smiling and giggling. She was hungry and slowly that smile turned into a frown and she started to cry. Without thinking, Sean did the worst thing possible; he dropped the fragile little baby. Almost instantly, he regretted this heinous act and scooped the child up in his arms. Cradling her tightly he rushed to the hospital and admitted her.
After five long hours of waiting, the doctors finally came out with small smiles. They had lost the small child twice, but her angelic look made them never give up. They told him that they were keeping Rachael in for a few days, then he could take her home. Sean stayed with her, never leaving her side. Then the day came when she was released and he realised that he wouldn't be able to look after her in that big bad world. After a few more "accidents" and a few more stays in hospitals, Rachael was finally taken away from the unfit father. He begged and pleaded, but they couldn't let him keep her. They put her in a care home where she stayed for around a year, until one horrible evening. Sean had found out where Rachael was being looked after and he snuck in. He watched as she smiled up at the familiar face that she actually did miss. He slowly took her in his arms and held her close telling her to be quiet as she murmured with excitement.
Sean held his child tightly for one last time before he finally took out the revolver and shot himself in the head. He fell to the ground, still cradling Rachael and she fell asleep in his arms, covered in blood. After the shot, the residents rushed in and called an ambulance. As they tried to pull Rachael away from her father, she screamed and started to cry. Everyone tried settling her, but nothing seemed to work. When it was finally ruled as a suicide, they put Rachael down gently and she crawled over to her father and snuggled up with his deceased corpse once again. She was never letting go and they knew this wasn't good for a child of her age. They knew the only solution would be to ship her away, as far a possible. The furthest they could get her was from Arlington to Houston. She was put into an orphanage where she would spend the next four years of her life; alone.
While cooped up in the orphanage, she had many sleepless nights where she would dream about her father shooting himself. To soothe those nights, she would creep downstairs and pour herself a glass of cherry juice. She was very secretive and didn't really mix well with the other kids. In fact, she didn't mix well at all. She would start word fights with them, pull their hair, steal their crayons and even punch them. She was a problem child until that fated day came. She was six years old and the orphanage finally got a laptop. Oh, how she loved that thing. She would spend hours on it and the other children never interupted her because they got to play without being hurt now. The only thing was if you interupted her while she was busy doing something, she would snap, then everyone would have to hide. The problem was she was getting more and more dependant on the laptop and the cherry juice to kill the pains of her father.
One fine day, she was sat at her laptop, tapping away like she did everyday, sipping from her cherry juicebox. Another family came in and all the other children crowded around them, wanting to be adopted that day, whereas she had just given up, every family didn't want a nerd. She could feel someone standing behind and she hated people looking over her shoulder. As she whipped her head around she saw a girl with her head burried in a science magazine. A small smile came her face. As she and this strange girl got involved in a coversation, she felt safer and as if this girl could become the only friend she would have. Soon, the kid ran off and she had no idea why. The next thing she knew, the girl's parents were over there and talking to her. They were actually quite intelligent and seemed to actually want a child to care for. Of course to start with Rachael didn't believe any of it, but if it got her away from these annoying younger children, she didn't really care.
At the start of her stay with the Kennedey's, she didn't know what to do with herself. She started out being extremely quiet and not really talking to anyone in the house, just typing away at her laptop. She was so quiet she would actually contact Layla using a white board or MSN. When herself and Layla realised they both had an extreme love for computers they started to spend days just with computers. She slowly taught him everything she had taught herself and what she had learnt online and she was glad that she could make someone else happy. She finally spoke a few words and was blending in with the family, everything was going great. The only thing that took a while to go through was them changing Rachael's name to Kennedey so she wasn't bullied for being the girl with the suicide father.
It was even better when she started to attend high school. Although not popular, she had her best friend and sister with her and she was great at so many things. She was doing really well in school and her and her best friend were just enjoying life. After their first year, they were established as the rejects of the school. But, now they were in their sophomore year, they befriended two rejects from the freshman year; the Spence twins. Oh how these four kids made great friends all of a sudden. There was nothing stopping these crazy kids that's for sure.
It turned out that these four kids had the same taste in music and desperately wanted to express their love of it. They began to mess around after schools, writing random songs and just basically having a laugh. They started to take it quite seriously after a while and before they knew it they had an awsome bands called 'Kiss Me Good Night'. They were a cross between thrash metal and a bit of screamo, with a little bit of goth rock too, allowing Rachael to play piano, bass, a little bit of guitar and try her hand at singing and composing. There's no doubt about it but this girl was an amazing musician. It's a shame she left it all behind.
The problems started when she was seventeen and in her junior year along side her best friend. The two girls were enjoying their lives and messing around one evening. That's when they got the phone call, their parents had been in a car accident. This would turn out to be the worst night of Rachael's life. She couldn't believe what was happening to her right now, first her mother, then her father and now her new adoptive parents. After a few hours in critical condition, their mother was dead. Then a week later, their father followed. She couldn't take this any more, it was as if everything she was doing in life was just being ruined. She wished she could get out of this all, but then she realised she still had Layla and she still had the Spences.
Just after her eighteenth birthday, they were finally playing a professional gig at a proper venue. They were enjoying their time on stage and were about to play their last track when someone started to heckle. They recognised the voice, someone from school who hated them because of their musical loves. This person was also someone hadn't been in school because of physcological problems he had been having. That's when he pulled a gun fom his jacket and waved it around, aiming it at Rachael. Luckily for Rachael, he was half drunk and had really bad aim. Sadly for Layla, she was the one who was shot. Sadly for Rachael as well because this was the point in her life when it all went down hill.
Of course, Kiss Me Good Night disbanded but the kids still stayed friends. It was harder for Rachael to see the Spence twins because she was out of school. Now, she was spending her mornings asleep on a cold concreate floor, her afternoons were spent self harming and in the evenings she was either on drugs, drunk or both. She was spiralling out of control and no one could stop her. The more she thought about everything, the worse she got. One night, it got so bad that she had finally ODed and was left outside on a snowy Houston Christmas evening. She was seen by a passby who couldn't help but become attracted to her angelic look. They took her to the hospital and she was admitted.
While in the hospital, she died twice. They wouldn't let her go because she was just so angelic and almost as if she was sent from above. She was admitted to rehab and she was almost forced to get clean. She didn't want to get clean and refused treatment. They wouldn't allow her to leave the clinic, so she spent her days crying, self harming and avoiding her medication. She wouldn't allow anyone to touch her and even on her birthday she wanted to be alone to cry while she slowly fell asleep and into the safeness of the darkness.
It was when she was around twenty years old that there was a new doctor on the scene. His name was John Cockson. Once she had gotten over the hilarity of this guy's name, she actually clicked with him. He seemed to understand her and actually want to help this problematic child. He said that every day she was clean, he would get her something like internet access and a brand new Nikon camera. She was slowly getting better and then he brought in an old demo CD that he had from Kiss Me Good Night. She broke down once again and that's when he realised that this was Rachael of the band. He couldn't believe that he had dragged up all this horrible raw emotions, but it was good for her to finally get it all off her chest.
The one thing that disappointed this doctor was that she said she felt so alone all the time. He told her it didn't have to be that way because God was always there for his children. She didn't believe him, but when she started to pray and visit the small chapel, things started to feel a hell of a lot better for her, her heart didn't weigh so much, she felt loved and also that she would always have support. With this all in mind, within months, she was finally discharged and was as healthy as a girl could be really. It had been a long and hard road getting there, but now she was there, she never wanted to let it go.
She was twenty one and free to do what she wanted. Sadly, being twenty one with brilliant grades and a black mark from rehab was making it so very hard to get a job. The only place she found was a dead end cafe, working a boring nine to five with no promotion prospects or anything. She hated this job and just wished that she could get out of here. The only thing was is she needed money to pay the rent on the tiny apartment she had and food she obviously needed to buy. On top of that, she had to feed her photography and computer addiction. But, with the money she earned, the closest she got to a laptop was the laptops the customers would bring in.
After around a year of this torture, she came across some old friends she thought she would never see again. They quizzed her on where she was and such and she told them very little, saying that it wasn't important and she would probably tell them soon enough. That was when they insisted that she met them in a better place where they could talk more privately and at the same time have a complete blast. They arranged a date in Subway and away they went after she had finished her shift. Of course, in the busy place, no one cared to recognise when she broke down, telling them her life story after she left.
The guys felt really bad and asked her if she was still a wizard at computers, or still and amazing guitarist. She had refused to touch instruments after what happened to Layla, not being able to face the idea of someone killing her because of her love of metal. She told them she hadn't seen a laptop in around a year, but was pretty sharp with her photography. They helped her get back onto her feet and hepled her get a job at the local newspaper where she could become a journalist. When they realised her love for music, they sent her down to the local music tour and told her to take photos and maybe write some articles if she needed to.
